EQDKP MMO Loot Tracking System

What is EQdkp and why?

EQdkp is an Open Source DKP system created out of necessity. Many EverQuest guilds wanted to use the point system but didn’t have the means or time or will to create their own program for managing it. The main focus of EQdkp is to make loot distribution decisions as easy as possible for guild leaders while still allowing the system to be easy to maintain.

EQdkp was originally made up of the notion that one closed-source installing of it would support several guilds’ point systems. It was later released just as one Open Source project so that it would be much more customizable by each guild.

Can you define DKP?

DKP, small for Dragon Kill Points, is a notion originally created by means of Thott. These points tend to be awarded to just about every guild member since they attend a guild raid. The current DKP of member reflects her or his priority for loot. When a member “wins” an item, they lose some sort of DKP amount that reflects the significance of that item.
DKP provides for a unbiased comparison between guild members when decisions in relation to loot have to be built depending on work and also the latest objects which were given.

How does EQdkp  work with a preset amount of online games?

No. It has game support for EverQuest, EverQuest 2, World of Warcraft, Vanguard, Swtor, AoC, Rift and Dark Age of Camelot. Its game support is also modular, so new games can be added quickly and easily..
